Abstract

The da'wah method in spreading the message of Islamic teachings in an area cannot be separated from the role of local (local) ulama. However, the methods used often do not pay attention to aspects of the context at hand. The aim of this research is to explore the extent of the da'wah methods used by local ulama'. This research uses a descriptive approach with qualitative methods. Data sources were obtained through primary data in the form of interviews and secondary data from journals and previous literature reviews. The results of this research show that the classical ulama' da'wah method tends to collaborate three things, namely: bil-hikmah, bil-hal and bil-lisan. Apart from that, it also pays attention to the progress of the current era. So that the preaching delivered does not seem outdated, but can be accepted by society.
